
Liz Annett
Centre Manager
Liz initially joined the Trust in March 2018 as our Assistant Centre Manager following a ten-year career within the engineering industry, ending as a General Manager for a world-renowned company. Liz travelled the world, empowering women in Engineering, as well as hosting sales events in America, Europe and the Middle East. Since April 2020, Liz was promoted to Centre Manager, and is responsible for developing the business of The Civic so that it becomes a busy, vibrant welcoming facility, well used, and recognised as a hub for community activity. She is the primary contact for all hiring and event activity at the Hall.

Judith Patrick
Chair of the Board of Trustees
Judith has worked in the charity sector for 20 years, working in community engagement, community regeneration and managing multimillion £ grant schemes. In the last 10 years, she has worked in heritage and currently works for the national charity The Churches Conservation Trust. Judith manages the North region which stretches from the Midlands to the Scottish borders, leading the 15 strong team and caring for 110 closed Grade I and II* Anglican churches. Judith first became involved with the Civic 6 years ago when it became available for community asset transfer from Kirklees Council. A parish Councillor at the time, and one of small working group who wrote the application for the transfer to HVPC. Judith stood down from HVPC to concentrate on the Civic and is really proud that we have retained it for the local community.

Dawn Whiteley MBE
Business Development Manager
Dawn joined the Trust in April 2018 originally as Centre Manager following a 25-year career in enterprise support – helping people setting up and running their own businesses. Her previous role was as Chief Executive of National Enterprise Network, the national membership and trade body for enterprise support organisations. Since April 2020 Dawn took on the new role as Business Development Manager and is responsible for fundraising and developing commercial and other relationships to support the sustainability of the Hall for the long term. She is the primary contact for all fundraising activity at the Hall.

Pat Habron
Caretaker
Pat joined the team in June 2022 and is responsible for opening and locking the building out of office hours. Setting up for events, and taking down when they have finished, and making sure the building is fully functional. He takes on all our DIY jobs and is always up for a challenge!

Georgia Hogarth
Cleaner
Georgia joined the team in December 2021, and you will mainly see her at the building on weekday mornings, making sure everything is kept nice and clean. She has been a great asset to the team.

Charlotte Hirsst
Administration Assistant
Charlotte joined the team in September 2022, and supports the Centre Manager with a range of Admin duties, from Booking Enquiries to Invoicing, and managing the staff and volunteer rotas. Her usual working days are Tuesdays and Fridays. Charlotte has been a great addition to the team.
