Holmfirth Local History Group

We are a group of people who have an interest in local and family history. We enjoy exploring aspects of the heritage of Holmfirth and the surrounding area.
The group meets at the Civic Holmfirth on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm to 9pm except in December.
What we do: –
– We undertake research for both group and personal interest projects
– We record findings
– We work together to make our findings known by publishing books based on members’ research, giving talks to other local groups including the Holme Valley Civic Society and the U3A, mounting a stand at events of local or family history interest in the Huddersfield area.
– We join with local and family history groups for events and projects
– We visit archives
