Honley Silver Band present An Afternoon of Brass Band Music

You are invited to an Afternoon of Brass Band Music featuring a range of music both traditional and more modern played by Honley Silver Band and our guests Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band.
Honley Silver Band is a friendly band, formed in 1865, whose players share a love of Brass Band music and meet twice weekly in our own bandroom in Berrycroft, Honley. The band undertakes a number of events throughout the year, including several concerts, Summer Bandstands, Honley Remembrance service, Honley Christmas market and lights switch on. The band does not usually enter brass band contests.

Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band has been entertaining the community in and around Reading since 1899 and is considered to be the oldest musical institution in Reading. Today, the band is regarded as one of the finest entertainment bands in Berkshire and upholds a reputation for professionalism and high standards in every aspect of its performance.
They have recently qualified for the 2024 National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain – the band’s first national finals in an astounding 65 years!
