Holme Valley Heritage Week 2026; Holme Valley Civic Society present, The Upper Holme Valley – Changing Times

Take a journey through the Holme Valley’s past with a fascinating collection of old photographs capturing local people, places and moments in time.

Join Dan Aldous at The Civic, Holmfirth as he brings these historic images to life, sharing the stories behind the photographs and revealing glimpses of a Holme Valley that has changed considerably over the years – alongside some scenes that may still feel very familiar.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to see our local area through a different lens, share memories and discover more about the people and places that have shaped the valley.

The Civic Society has generously waived its usual admission charge for this special Heritage Week event. Places are free, but booking is recommended to be sure of admission.
